"'R' is among the most menacing of sounds. That's why they call it MURDER and not MUKDUK." -Dwight K. Shrute The Office
I do agree with Mr. Schrute, 'R' is the MOST menacing of sounds. This one sound is the reason why I am dedicated in becoming a Speech and Language Pathologist. Currently, I am a sophomore studying Communication Sciences and Disorders at the College of Saint Rose. I have struggled with the pronunciation of r as a child, I hope to help others with their speech and Language difficulties in the future.
In addition to the Communication Sciences and Disorders major, I am minoring in writing. I write a lot of reports with a clinical tone for my major. The writing minor allows me to write creatively. This is a portfolio of my work so far.
I love the office. I love television. I know way too much about movies and shows that I don't even watch. During my crucial first few years of development, I stayed at home watching TV with my dad all day. He had a broken leg and couldn't work for a while. All we could do was watch his favorite sitcoms. I love the office, 30 rock, How I met your mother, Scrubs, and many more. I believe that sense of humor is carried over in my writing. My family is very important to me, and they often find their way into my writing.
I invite you to check out my past essays, blog posts, plays, and other works. Any comments, questions, or suggestions are always welcomed. Click on the contact link at the top to do so.
